Contract reviews

As part of the process of providing our clients with best advice we offer freelancers / contractors an independent review service which will not only determine your tax status, but also protect you from the new penalty regime.

The review considers not only the contractual terms, but also your business practices and the working practices of the engagement on the basis of an IR35 status questionnaire.

All reviews will include any recommendation to improve the contract wording and will conclude a “pass” or “fail”.

A contract review is important as it:

• Provides you with the confidence of knowing that an engagement is independently deemed to be outside of, or not ‘caught’ by IR35.

Will avoid a penalty (of up to 30% of the tax due) by being able to show that due diligence has been undertaken.
Allows you to take out Tax Losses Insurance to protect your tax position and give you full peace of mind.

What does it cost?

Our standard charge for the written report is £125 +VAT. Reviews of contract extensions are carried out for £50 + VAT and where we are asked to review multiple contracts we will provide a separate quotation.
